Leanne Dawn McRae passed away peacefully on March 5th 2026 in Melfort Hospital at the age of 46. She was surrounded by family during her final hours. This also included many friends, but she loved so deeply that everyone close to her became family.

Leanne was born on October 8th, 1979 in Regina Saskatchewan to Murray and Linda Puffalt and is survived by her husband Nolan, and her beloved children Aidan, Daria, and Alyssa. She is also survived by her parents and 3 siblings Corey (Patty-Jo) Puffalt, Kevin (Caroline) Puffalt, and Michelle (Jeff) Martinuk.

In 2007, she married her loving husband, Nolan McRae. Together, they built a beautiful life near St Brieux, Saskatchewan, including building their own home where Leanne and Nolan spent many hours framing and finishing what would be their forever home. There they raised their three children, Aidan, Daria, and Alyssa, who were the absolute lights of her life. Leanne was an amazing wife, mother, and friend who was patient, loving, and endlessly supportive.

Leanne loved to travel and see new places, always making memories and finding amazing people in every corner of the world. She stopped to smell the flowers and sought out the little hidden gems. She loved watercolour painting with her daughters and numerous activities with her family. She loved deeply and shared that love freely, making everyone around her feel seen and cherished.

Leanne was diagnosed with cancer in 2018, but she never let it define her. This gave her a greater purpose to better understand herself and God, and to ensure that no moment was wasted. She continued to explore the world with her family, making many lasting memories. She struggled long and hard with God, and was rewarded in the end with a complete trust in Him. This was evident with the blanket of peace felt deeply by her and her family.

Her warmth, laughter, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her, with her memory living on through her family, friends, and the countless lives that she touched. A Private Family Celebration of Leanne’s life will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Fedusiak Funeral Chapel & Crematorium (306)752-3838.
