Michael Roy Newberry was born in Watson, SK. on July 11, 1947, the second oldest of 8 children.

Michael grew up on the farm at Dahlton, furthering his education with an electronics course in Moose Jaw, then a carpentry course at Siast in Saskatoon. He worked at many different jobs over the years, including farm hand, and then approximately 20 years with Ridsdale Transport in Saskatoon until his retirement.

Upon retiring, Michael moved back to his home in Naicam, where he lived until moving into Churchview Lodge last summer.

Michael enjoyed small town life, spending hours having coffee or a meal with friends and neighbours at a local restaurant.

He was a favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and was always known as Uncle Mike.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, sister Karen, brothers-in-law: Edwin and Ray; nephews: Ricky, Mark and Jack.

He will be greatly missed by his siblings: Brian (Joy), Gordon (Teena), Terry (Beth), Kevin (Odile), Maureen (Bill) and Sandra, plus his numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Funeral Service was held from the Dahlton Lutheran Church Cemetery, Archerwill, SK on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Gladys Court officiating.
