Myrta J. Harley

September 15, 1928 – October 4, 2025

 

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Myrta Jane Harley on October 4, 2025 at Parkland Place PCH. Born in Tisdale, SK, Myrta was raised on the family farm near Somme, SK.

Myrta is survived by her son Bryan Harley; daughter Candace Dufresne; sister Lila Green Demsys; daughter-in-law Debbie Megenber; and the rest of the Harley family. Myrta was predeceased by her parents Ed and Dorothy Worden; her husband Robert B. Harley, son Daryl L. Harley, son-in-law Paul Dufresne, sister Laura Harley, sister-in-law Veda Hudson, brothers-in-law Don and Gerald Harley.

After many years of travel throughout Canada, while raising her family as a spouse of a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, retirement in Melfort gave Myrta many years of happiness in their new home where gardening and her growing family became her greatest loves. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. Visits with Grandma have long been a highlight of her grandchildren’s lives. “Grandma’s stories ‘ will be sadly missed.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Fedusiak Funeral Chapel & Crematorium (306)752-3838.
