Noreen Elizabeth Brown was born on September 17, 1930 to Reginald and Winnifred Brown in Chagoness, Saskatchewan. Noreen passed away on February 13, 2026 in Campbell River, BC.

Noreen attended Teacher’s College in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Noreen married James Trembley (deceased) on July 9, 1955. Together they had three children Robert, Douglas and Alison. The family moved to Melfort in 1973. She taught Kindergarten at Reynolds Elementary School and retired in 1992. She enjoyed a long and happy retirement in Melfort and Campbell River, BC.

Noreen is lovingly remembered by her children Rob (Carla), Doug (Caron) and Alison (Russ); grandchildren: Carlee and Connor Trembley, Renee Chen Trembley, Alex and Keres Boucher, sisters Glenda Halyk, Jean Gaetz (Al), Kathy Beatty (Larry), Nancy Brown (John) and numerous nieces and nephews. Noreen and Jim’s ashes are interred at Melfort Cemetary.

A Come and Go Memorial Tea will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the at Melfort United Church. We enourage friends to come out and share memories of Noreen as we celebrate her life.
