Raymond was born to Agathe and Raymond Boisson on December 5th, 1935. He was the youngest of nine children and grew up on the family farm south of Kinistino. As a kid he attended Omand Country School and made some money trapping muskrats. He married Vera Murray on October 12th, 1956, and bought the family farm from his parents. They had four children, one girl and three boys. In the late 70s Raymond and Vera also became foster parents to numerous kids throughout the years. Raymond and Vera continued farming until 2015 with the passing of Vera. In 2016 Raymond moved to his own apartment in St. Brieux until February 2025 when he moved to Nirvana Assisted Living in Melfort, SK.
Raymond was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the Struthers Lake Wildlife Association since 1966. The fish and horns always grew bigger more times Raymond told a fishing or hunting story! He loved the land and took pride in all his hard work.
He loved his old-time music and played the guitar, harmonica and one tune on the fiddle. Dancing, singing, gardening and horseshoes also topped his list.
On behalf of the family, we would like to thank Fedusiak Funeral Chapel and everyone that has been involved in Raymond’s life and well-being.
A Celebration of Raymond’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kinistino Community Centre. Memorial donations may be directed to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation (9 Lancaster Rd, Moose Jaw, SK, S6J 1M8). Arrangements entrusted to Fedusiak Funeral Chapel & Crematorium (306)752-3838.
