On the early morning of July 20th Rob passed peacefully after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends throughout this journey.  

He will be fondly remembered by his dad Bob; wife Angela; children: Rachel and Caleb (Maria); grandchildren: Eric, Theo, Kayla; siblings: Ron (Jennifer), Terry (Mickey), Patty (George); aunt Daisy Solsten, nieces and nephews.

Rob is predeceased by his daughter Miriam and mom Joyce.

Rob was well known for his quirky sense of humour and positive attitude toward life. Rob had many passions that included photography, aircraft and antiques hunting. He had the ability to find treasures in objects or places where most people would overlook.  

Rob’s family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Levendall, and the amazing team at the Melfort Union Hospital who gave Rob such excellent care. To Pastor Dawn Myrfield for her friendship and spiritual guidance; his friends Mike Shmyr, David Bonli, Rodney Pederson, Dale Link, Allen Porter and his many friends at the Melfort & District Museum. 

Please remember Rob when you come across a great treasure or a small object of beauty!
