Roy Halvorson

Roy Wilbert Halvorson was born May 8, 1931 in Brockington, SK. He passed away July 21, 2018 at the age of 87 years.
He attended school at Pine Bluff. He married Blanche Anderson Nov. 3, 1953. Roy worked construction pouring basements and building houses in and around Melfort for many years. Then he went to work for Beaver Lumber building bins.
Roy and Blanche had two children Clarence born April 17, 1962 and Cindy born December 15, 1970. They lived in Melfort until 1974, then they bought some farm land in Brockington. There they lived many years farming until he finally retired.
Roy loved spending time outdoors, picking blue berries, cutting wood in the summer, he enjoyed playing baseball with family and friends, fishing and going for picnics in the pines.
He was predeceased by his mother Clara, his father Henry, brothers Clarence, George and Gilbert; sisters Hansina, Laura, Florence and his wife Blanche.
He leaves behind his children Clarence, Cindy (Merrill Klepak). Grandchildren Richard, Shawn and Shane, four great grandchildren. Two brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
