Shirley Adelle Heilmann (Thomson) passed away very peacefully in Melfort, Saskatchewan on December 13, 2018. Shirley was born to Glen and Vera Thomson June 2, 1929 in Ridgedale, Saskatchewan. She received her Registered Psychiatric Nursing Degree in 1951 and married John Heilmann in 1951. Most of their life together was lived in North Battleford on the edge of the North Saskatchewan river valley hills. 752-99th street was a home that boasted a bountiful garden, a lovingly tended yard and some of the best food in the world. Mom’s table was always ready to add another plate or two for friends, family or travellers that were passing through. She was a pillar of support, encouragement and guidance, and countless souls found their way to the comfort of Shirley’s heart and hugs.
