Theodore “Ted” Allan Olaf Sorenson was born May 16, 1952 in Kinistino, Saskatchewan to Gordon and Sally Sorenson. Ted had 5 siblings Fred, Ed, Libby, Ned, and Jed. Ted resided many years on the family farm and then spent his later years residing in the family home in Kinistino.
Ted started his schooling at the Norden school and then completed his schooling in Kinistino after his grade eight year. From that time forward he would work on the family farm which was a mixed farming operation and Ted spent the majority of his days working with the livestock which he really enjoyed.
He spent many years as the equipment manager of the Kinistino Junior Tigers and he loved being part of the team. He spoke very highly of all the players he knew through the years and especially the relationships he built with Les, Stu, Leonard, Ralph and Mac. This era of Ted’s life was one of his favorite times as everyone in Kinistino knew who Mad Dog was.
Ted took over the role from Chuck Walker on being Kinistino’s town cruiser as you would see him cruising the streets all hours of the day at a very minimal speed which we are sure at times frustrated other motorists.
He loved his family greatly especially his nieces and nephews. For many years he was a caregiver for both of his parents until their final days. He truly had a special bond with them.
Ted was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Sally Sorenson plus all of his grandparents, uncles, and aunts.
He is survived by Fred and Carol Sorenson (Mark, Arlene, John), Ed and Tammy Sorenson (Tamara, David, Preston), Libby Sorenson (Steve, Matthew), Ned and Bev Sorenson (Cody, Danika, Lorne, Skylar, Zaiden), Jed and Gisele Sorenson (Jessica), and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Ted you will be missed by many.
