Wesley Ernest Greier passed away on June 19, 2022 at Melfort Union Hospital at the age of 81 years old. He was born on February 28, 1941 at Hudson Bay Junction to Sarah and Bernard Greier. He was married to Faye August 5, 1966. They lived in the Weekes area where he worked as a lumberjack and farmed until they moved to Melfort in 1972. He then worked as an apprentice mechanic and worked his way through school and received his journeyman red-seal while working for Parkland Motors. He continued his career with Melody Motors from 1982 until his retirement from mechanics. He then began a cleaning business with Faye and worked until his declining health no longer allowed him to continue.
He spent all of his free time doing the things he enjoyed the most; hunting, trapping and fishing. He loved taking his grandchildren with him while doing any of these things and passing on his vast amount of knowledge regarding these subjects. He was also a loyal Roughrider fan and if there was a game on you would find him watching the game. He never lost his sense of humour and loved to tease anyone and everyone, including the staff at the hospital.
Wesley will be forever remembered by; Daughter Cindy (Troy) Worley of Melfort, grandchildren Thomas (Mary) Worley and great-grandchildren Weston, Watson and Waylon of Melfort; Sarah (Kyle Kinzel) Worley of Dalmeny; Nina (Tyler) Skiftun of Melfort; Son Sheldon (Kim) Greier grandchildren Aracellie, Caelynn Frazer great grandson Dayn of Melfort and Carteea Naigle of Saskatoon, sisters-in-law Pat (Nestor) Nowakowski of Wadena and Shirley Cox of Norquay as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Wesley was predeceased by Faye, his wife of 55 years, his mother, father, his sisters, his brothers and several other members of his family.
