Big name stores coming to Tisdale

Three large retail type businesses are close to opening in Tisdale.

Buy-Low Foods will celebrate its grand opening on Dec. 1. A Tim Hortons and Sobeys liquor store will open before Christmas.

Nipawin veteran reflects on war years

Jim Grandfield was only 14 when he first attempted to enlist in the armed forces.

“They told me 'go home, grow up kid.' I worked two years and I was still underage when I got in,” he said.

Community Futures Newsask challenging communities

Tisdale based Community Futures Newsask is holding their fourth “Challenge 4 Communities” contest with the most voted for initiative taking the top prize.
