A wheelchair accessible playground could be in the North end of Melfort in around two years.

That’s the timeline for the Melfort Kinsmen and Kinettes, after receiving $100,000 from Co-op Community Spaces to cover most of the funding.

Anne-Marie Waldner, Park Chair for the Melfort Kinettes, told northeastNOW the group will aim to stay around a budget of $100,000.

“Both clubs have money set aside for the park,” Waldner said. “If we need to purchase other things along the way that might be over budget we can use our club’s funding.”
