Windy conditions contribute to fire near Melfort

A tree that fell on a power line led to a bush fire near Melfort.

Fire crews were called to the scene during the lunch hour on Saturday, after a tree fell on a power line southwest of Melfort.

SaskPower was already on scene repairing the power line by the time fire crews arrived to establish a perimeter and containing the bush fire.

Wind gusts at times on Saturday reached over 60 km/h.

There were no injuries.
