Broda family donates $1 million to Children’s Hospital Foundation
spiritual space will be added to Saskatoon’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital thanks to a $1 million donation from a Prince Albert family.
The generous gift comes from Barb and Gord Broda and the Casimir and Marie Broda Family Foundation, and will be used to construct a multi-faith spiritual space on the hospital’s main floor. The space will be accessible 24 hours daily, and will be equipped for families, gatherings, and group ceremonies including smudging and pipe ceremonies.
“A multi-faith space devoted to our diverse provincial community will provide serenity and a place for reflection in times when compassion and spiritual connection is especially important,” Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation President and CEO Brynn Boback-Lane said.
“Through the Broda family gift, Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital will support families of all faiths, so that healing and hope remain a pillar of the family-centred care that this children’s hospital represents.”
