Charges upgraded after Melfort stabbing

A Melfort area man charged with attempted murder was in Melfort provincial court this morning.

Tristan Lundgren, 22, was remanded into custody until Feb. 26 for a bail hearing.

Lundgren was at large after allegedly stabbing a man in his back and neck on the morning of Jan. 26 in Melfort.

A woman was also assaulted at the same residence that same morning.

Lundgren faces a number of charges including attempted murder, assault with a weapon, break and enter and possession of a weapon.
