Water main break

Water main break in Carrot River

Feb 21, 2019 | 11:24 AM

A water main break in the town of Carrot River is affecting a block of residents.

Crews are working to make the necessary repairs needed to restore water to the block.

Town Administrator Kevin Trew told northeastNOW the water was shut off but will be turned on two times a day to allow residents to store water. Water will be turned on between 7 and 7:30 a.m. and 6 and 6:30 p.m.

Lower pressure will be noticed by all residents when water is turned on in that block.

“By turning off valves we have minimized the number of residents affected,” Trew said.

Only about 18 residents in the town are without water due to the break.

“Water is shut off on this one block until permanent repairs are made which we hope to be very soon,” Trew said.
