Nipawin Fire responds to multiple calls over Thanksgiving weekend

Nipawin Fire had a busy Thanksgiving weekend with a few calls on Sunday.

Shortly after 1 p.m., the department responded to a combine fire in the RM of Torch River.

The fire was contained to the combine and some small stubble in the field. No one was hurt.

Later in the day, just after 8 p.m., the department responded to an ATV rollover to help set up a landing zone for STARS Air Ambulance.

EMS was already there attending to the victim before they were taken off in the helicopter.

Nipawin Fire also had a call around suppertime in Wapiti Valley Regional Park for alarms ringing. It ended up being a faulty alarm.
