Melfort Multi-K asking for help in designing medals for 10th anniversary race

The Melfort Multi-K’s 10th anniversary is in 2020, and they are holding a special contest to commemorate the occasion.

They are looking for people to help design the medals for their anniversary run. The form is available here or at city hall in Melfort. You can drop off the forms at city hall or mail them to Box 3113 in Melfort.

The medal designs are different each year, but race organizer Allison Rogers told northeastNOW the Multi-K committee decided to open the process to the public this time around.

“We’re…hoping to get them in by the end of the month just so we have time to give [the design] to our people to get them designed up and get them into production,” Rogers said. “The sooner we can get them, the better.”

As for the 10th annual Multi-K itself, Rogers said they are looking at increasing the number of participants, as they sold out fairly quickly last year. The event is still in its early planning stages.

“We’re really excited. We had our first meeting at the beginning of the month, and we’re super excited to get going on this 10th year planning,” Rogers said.

Registration for the Melfort Multi-K will open May 1, 2020, and the race will be held next September.
