The full-service Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram dealer has been serving the community of Melfort and surrounding area for over 35 years. Joe and Fran Hargrave purchased the dealership in 2005. Two years later, Doug Kurtenbach took on the role of general manager.

“Melfort has really been good to us,” Kurtenbach said. “We have a really great support staff here with many years of experience backing us.”

That staff includes sales manager, Mark Jago who has been helping clients find what they need at Riverside Melfort for the last eight years.

“There is no mystery in dealing. We are straight forward with numbers and explain our trade-in values and factory programs so that people know exactly what the deal is,” Jago said.

That honesty and integrity is what assures clients they’re getting the best deal and service possible.

“The number of repeat customers and our customer base that will come back for multiple vehicles says that we are doing something right,” Jago said.

If the vehicle you want isn’t on the lot, Riverside will work to get it for you and you’ll only ever have to deal with one salesperson throughout the entire purchasing process from testing driving a vehicle to securing financing.

“We want our customers to be treated the same whether they are coming through the sales door or the service door,” Kurtenbach said. “You will receive the same level of service from  the time you walk in to the time you walk out.”

“We won’t coerce or pressure anyone to do anything they don’t want to,” Kurtenbach said. “We just go with what the customer wants.”

A great line-up of Ram Trucks, current and past, can be found lining the only downtown Melfort dealership. A service drive was added to the building about five years ago for a more convenient customer experience. A team of three technicians in the service shop conduct 16 point inspections on every vehicle, regardless of the concern.

“You don’t have to drop off your vehicle in the cold, and we check everything with our courtesy inspections,” Kurtenbach said. “We service all makes and models.”

The team at Riverside Melfort makes an effort to give back go the communities they serve. They’ve been involved with the Elks, various committees in the northeast including Star City and Porcupine Plain and they’ve been involved with the Melfort Mustangs since the beginning – a team Jago used to play for.

“Especially as an ex-hockey player, I am thankful that we continue to support the next generation of players coming up,” Jago said.
