Election Day is October 26. Voting Information

Find Your constituency

The provincial election is October 26, 2020. You only vote once, and you have options for when and where to vote:

1. In person on election day. Your voter information card will detail your assigned voting location for October 26. Election day is the last day to vote. Polls are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

2. In person during advance voting. There are 5 days, or 40 hours, in total of advance voting to be held prior to October 26. Your voter information card will detail the recommended polling location for you. Advance voting polls are open from Noon to 8 p.m.

3. Vote by mail. All voters are eligible to vote by mail. This is a two-step process that involves applying for a vote by mail ballot. Apply today! Applications must be received by October 15. All details can be found here. Vote by mail is also the option for homebound voters this election. Homebound voters can begin the process by downloading the application form here or go to https://homebound.elections.sk.ca.

Who can vote and ID options

Interested in voting by mail in the October 2020 provincial election?
You can! Start the application process today. Applications must be received by October 15, 2020.

Voting by mail is a two-step process.

First step – Apply to vote by mail

Complete an application for a vote by mail ballot. There are 2 ways to apply:

1. Online

Fast and easy. Apply online to request a vote by mail kit. Complete your application online and upload a copy of your ID (see Acceptable ID table below)

2. By Mail

Begin by downloading a copy of this form.

Fill it in and then return to us either by scanning and emailing to absenteeballots@elections.sk.ca, or physically mailed or personally deliver to:

If you do not have access to a printer, request a mailed copy by calling 1-877-958-8683 Monday to Fridays between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Second step – Watch for your voting kit

Once your application is approved, watch your mailbox for a voting kit.  Voting kits will be mailed out starting September 29.

Inside the kit is a ballot to mark and a postage-paid return envelope. Use this envelope to mail your completed ballot back to Elections Saskatchewan at the above address.

Acceptable ID

You need to show ID that confirms your name and address before you get a ballot. You have 2 options for ID:
1. A valid Driver’s License or Saskatchewan non-driver photo ID, or other Government Issued ID that has your name, photo and current address. If you use your Driver’s License for ID, you do not need a second piece of ID.
2. Submit 2 pieces of ID. At least one must be from the Government Issued ID list below. The other must be from the Secondary Proof of Identity and Address below.
