UPDATED: Carrot River girl missing, could be hiding in properties

UPDATE: Carrot River RCMP confirmed late Wednesday that the missing girl had been found.They gave no further details.

Carrot River RCMP is searching for a missing 13-year-old girl.

Samara “Sammy” Watts was last seen on Tuesday at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Police stated Watts is well known in the Town of Carrot River and there are concerns for her well-being. Officer have spoken to her usual associates and searched the places she normally visits.

Watts is described at 5’0″ with a slim build, dirty blonde to brown hair, and hazel-coloured eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt with a black cat logo on the front with kitten ears sewn into the hood, a navy and white striped T-shirt, blue jeans, and grey winter boots with pink laces.

Police said it’s possible for Watts to seek shelter or hide in properties such as outbuildings, sheds, or empty campers.
