Owner of Sweet Deals in Melfort asking for help in identifying suspect in recent break-in

The owner of Sweet Deals Liquidation in Melfort is hoping the public can assist in identifying the suspect in a recent break-in at the store.

Gloria Warick told northeastNOW surveillance cameras captured the break-in on video on March 4, at around 6:15 a.m.

“He was in the store for one minute, broke the glass door, broke the display case, stole seven items and was gone,” Warick said.

The stolen items are valued at $5600 which included a $1000 drone.

The store was closed for three hours following the break-in to clean-up and replace the glass of the front door.

The incident was reported to Melfort RCMP and anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the detachment.
