Canucks place Soucy on LTIR, Suter on IR

VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks say they have placed defenceman Carson Soucy on long-term injured reserve and forward Pius Suter on injured reserve retroactively.

Soucy, 29, hasn’t played since Nov. 12 against the Montreal Canadiens when he left the game with a lower-body injury after blocking a shot.

He had been seen last week in a walking boot after a Canucks game.

Suter has been listed as day-to-day after the Canucks returned home from Montreal and held a practice at the University of British Columbia.

Head coach Rick Tocchet previously said Suter noticed something after practice leading to his absence.
