BREAK INS

Several businesses hit by overnight break and enters in Naicam

Apr 22, 2024 | 10:53 AM

A total of six businesses fell victim to a string of break-and-enters in Naicam last week.

Melfort RCMP said the incidents happened sometime overnight on April 17 or early the next morning.

The suspects broke into the businesses by accessing the back doors of the building through an alley.

No items of value were reported stolen but the thieves did take loose cash from inside the buildings.

Naicam isn’t the only northeast community hit by break-and-enters recently.

On April 9, Humboldt and Lanigan RCMP reported two buildings in Muenster and Englefeld were broken into with several items stolen.

RCMP are also looking into several break-ins and vandalism incidents in the Humboldt area over the past two months.

If anybody has information on these cases or saw something suspicious in town during these times, they are asked to call the Melfort RCMP at (306) 752-6420.
