Borden’s Savannah Sutherland races for a medal at Paris Olympic Games
Borden, Saskatchewan’s Savannah Sutherland has the opportunity to win an Olympic medal in Paris today.
The 21-year-old will race in the 400-metre hurdles final at 1:25 p.m. Saskatchewan time.
Sutherland qualified for the final with a time of 53.80 and will be placed in lane three for this evening’s event.
Sutherland is currently a student at the University of Michigan and is one of the top track and field athletes in the NCAA. She is ranked 29th in the world — which is the lowest ranking of the competitors in the 400-metre hurdle final.
