Update: Water restriction lifted at Resort Village of Tobin Lake

NOTE: The Resort Village posted Friday afternoon that the issue at he water plant has been resolved and water service is back to normal.

A municipal water restriction is in effect for the Resort Village of Tobin Lake.

A social media post from CAO Nathalie Hipkins said that an irrigation water ban and water conservation are in effect due to a breakdown in the water plant.

“There is currently treated water in our reserves, but until the breakdown is fixed, we cannot produce any more water,” the post read.

Residents are being told not to water their lawn, and to refrain from using excess water.

That includes taking shorter showers, shutting off water while brushing teeth, avoiding washing vehicles, and only running dishwashers and washing machines when full, or not at all.

The Resort Village said they are working to fix the issue and will post updates on their social media page.
