Former school bus driver pleads guilty to sexual assault
A former North East School Division (NESD) bus driver facing charges not connected to his job has entered a guilty plea.
The man pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault, and he will be sentenced Sept. 10 in Melfort.
He also faced charges of sexual interference with a person under 16 and sexual touching of a person who has a mental or physical disability, but those charges will likely be stayed at his sentencing.
NortheastNOW first learned of the incident in March of 2025 from a Choiceland parent who received a letter from the school division saying that a bus driver employed by NESD was relieved of his duties.
