Nipawin firefighters respond to another crash involving injuries

Nipawin Fire Department crews were called to a motor vehicle collision with injuries Thursday night on Highway 55.

The call came in at 8:42 p.m. July 16, about two miles east of the Tobin Lake turnoff. It was the department’s second call of the day, following a power pole fire earlier in the afternoon behind Oxford Dental.

According to the department, it was the third motor vehicle collision crews had responded to in less than four days, and the second in that stretch involving injuries that required transport by EMS. It was also the second deer strike reported this week.

Nipawin Fire said the latest call brings the department to 115 calls for service so far this year.
