Youth released without charges in Pelican Narrows shooting death
A teenage youth arrested in connection with a man’s shooting death in Pelican Narrows has been released without charges after investigators reviewed additional evidence and consulted Crown prosecutors.
Saskatchewan RCMP said their investigation determined a 22-year-old man approached two teenage youths around 6:53 p.m. on Oct. 29 and fired a gun toward them. One of the youths then fired a gun toward the man, police said.
Officers were called to a home in the community about seven minutes later, where they found the seriously injured 22-year-old. Paramedics took him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
