Hawks netminder among SJHL weekly award winners

Nipawin Hawks’ netminder Gage Roberts is the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) Rookie of the Week.

The SJHL named their weekly winners Monday, Roberts is the first Hawk to be honoured for their play this season. The 18-year-old made 36 saves in a 1-0 Hawks win Saturday in Humboldt over the Broncos.

Overall this year Roberts has a goals-against-average of 3.77 and a save percentage of .885. to go along with one win and four losses.

Nipawin is home to North Battleford on Tuesday.
