Mel-Bex award nominees revealed

The Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce (MTACC) has announced the nominees for this year’s Mel-Bex awards.

The nominees for Business of the Year, 16 Employees and Over are Prairie North Co-op, Redhead Equipment, Ripley Ford, Suncrest College, and Wapiti Valley Ski and Board Resort.

Up for Business of the Year, 15 Employees and Under are Backstage Music, Golden Grain Bakery, Plus Stuff Junction, Prairie Hope Wellness, and SpaFit by Linda.

The Community Involvement – Business/Corporation Award will be handed to one of Diamond Dodge, Dress Well with Gisele, MNP-Melfort, Ripley Ford, or TJ’s Pizza.

In the Community Involvement – Non-Profit category, the nominees are Melfort Arts Council, Melfort Kinsmen/Kinettes, North East Outreach and Support Services, Plus Stuff Junction, and Rotary Club of Melfort.

The nominees for the Property Appearance Award are Edward Jones – Bobby Lyn L Weiman, FYI Doctors, SpaFit by Linda, and Wapiti Valley Ski and Board Resort.

Nominated for the Customer Service Award are Edward Jones – Bobby Lyn L Weiman, Melfort Liquor Loft, Northeast Dental, Nutters Everyday Naturals, Ripley Ford, and SpaFit by Linda.

The Heritage Award nominees are Golden Grain Bakery, Nutters Everyday Naturals, Plus Stuff Junction, Trail Tire Melfort, and Wapiti Valley Ski and Board Resort.

The Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce earlier announced that the Citizens of the Year are Dr. Adeyemi (Dr. Yemi) Laosebikan and Foluke Laosebikan, and the Junior Citizen of the Year is Baylee Turner.

The Mel-Bex Awards ceremony will be held March 22 at the Kerry Vickar Centre. Tickets are $100 each or a table of eight for $700. Tickets are available for purchase until Friday, and you can contact Lorana McComber at the Chamber at 306-921-3273 or trademelfort@melfort.ca.
