Suspect wanted after post office break-ins in Codette, Love

Nipawin RCMP are looking for a suspect in a couple of local post office thefts.

Police were called to a break-and-enter at the post office in Codette early in the morning on Feb. 18.

A door was damaged and over 20 packages were stolen.

Later that morning, Nipawin RCMP were called to a second break-in that happened overnight at the post office in Love.

An unknown number of packages, mail, and a safe were taken.

As a result of the investigation, a woman was arrested in Cumberland House Feb. 23. A search warrant at a house in Cumberland House took place Mar. 9, and a man was arrested.

31-year-old Ashley Dayton from Nipawin, 36-year-old William Fosseneuve of Cumberland House, and 24-year-old Reginald Nawakayas from Nipawin face charges including two counts of break-and-enter and a variety of theft charges.

A warrant has been issued for Nawakayas’ arrest, and RCMP are asking the public for help in finding him.

Nawakayas is 5’11”, 250 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.

If spotted, do not approach him and instead call Nipawin RCMP at 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
