Town of Tisdale debuts new, more modern website

The Town of Tisdale’s website has undergone a much-needed refresh.

The new website was launched late last month, and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Lovely Magnaye told northeastNOW the update is very exciting.

“The new website represents a fresh, modern face for the Town of Tisdale,” Magnaye explained. “Council and administration endeavor to make our online services more accessible, user-friendly, and efficient for residents, visitors, and businesses.”

Magnaye, who began as CAO in Tisdale just over a year ago, said one of her main goals upon her hiring was to improve communication with the Town’s customers, with a website upgrade one of her top priorities. She said the website redevelopment has been in the works for several months.

“We wanted to ensure the transition was thoughtful, well-organized, and built with the needs of our community in mind,” Magnaye said.

She added the site is not yet perfect, but they are still working on updating the site and providing more information about Tisdale. The upgrade was seen as necessary to keep up with evolving technology and user expectations.

“The old website had limitations in functionality, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility,” Magnaye said. “The new platform allows for better communication, transparency, and access to town services.”

According to Magnaye, some of the best features of the new website compared to the previous iteration is a clean, modern, mobile-friendly design, easier navigation and search compatibilities, integrated online forms for common requests, an updated events calendar and news feed, and improved accessibility to all users.

Having an updated, modern website is essential, according to Magnaye.

“With more people turning to online sources for local information, it’s crucial that our website reflects accurate, timely, and easy-to-navigate content,” she said. “The new site helps ensure that our community stays informed and connected.”

Feedback has been positive on the new website, and Magnaye said people appreciate the clean design, ease of use, and improved access to important information. The Town is inviting input on the site, and they are asking for suggestions to help make it even better.

“Whether you’re looking to pay a bill, submit a form, or check out upcoming events, the new platform is designed to make those tasks easier.”
