Broncos sign BCHL-experienced forward

The Humboldt Broncos have made another addition to their roster in the midst of their preseason action.

Forward Logan Flint is joining the Green and Gold, coming over from the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).

Flint spent all of last season with the BCHL’s West Kelowna Warriors, registering a goal and five assists in 40 regular-season contests, before adding a goal and two assists in five playoff games. He also suited up for the Warriors once during the 2023/24 campaign.

Prior to his time in West Kelowna, the 2007-born product played a combined 33 games with the Yale Hockey Academy U18 Prep team in the 2023/24 season, producing nine goals and 17 assists in 29 regular-season games and two goals in three postseason matches.

“Logan brings a strong blend of junior-level experience and energy that fits perfectly with the Broncos’ identity. Standing 6’1 and weighing 185 pounds, Flint shoots left and is known for his hustle, gritty play, and ability to jump right into roles that demand tenacity and impact,” read a Broncos’ press release.

“We are excited to add Logan to the Green and Gold. He instantly brings that six-forward energy and jam we desperately needed. His junior experience will help him jump right in as a key contributor”, added Humboldt Head Coach and General Manager, Brayden Klimosko.

According to the organization, Flint, a native of Cranbrook, B.C., is expected to make his Humboldt debut early in the exhibition and ‘push for a solid spot in the forward rotation.’

The 18-year-old’s arrival also ‘adds depth, a spark of youthful energy, and the willingness to embrace a physical playing style — attributes that can resonate across the lineup.’

Meanwhile, his ‘junior pedigree equips him with solid preparation to adapt to SJHL play and the rigours of Broncos hockey.’

The Green and Gold have already completed two exhibition games, but still have five remaining on their schedule, with the next matchup set for this evening (Friday, Sept. 5th) in Warman, against the Wolverines.
