The Saskatchewan Roughriders are boldly going where few if any Rider teams have gone before following their 21-13 win over the Bombers in the Labour Day Rematch.
The win boosted the Rider record to 10-2 with the Calgary Stampeders being the only team to have beaten the Riders so far this season, mind you they did it twice this season. The Bombers dropped to 6-6 and in a year where they are hosting the Grey Cup, are now looking at the possibility they may even miss the playoffs.
The sweep of the Bombers is part of the process of the Riders proving to themselves they could beat the Bombers. Ever since the 2019 Western Final, when Cody Fajardo hit an upright goal post on a pass that if completed might have sent the Riders to the Grey Cup, the Bombers have walked into the Riders players and fans headspace and owned it.
