Creig shuts out Mustangs in Yorkton
The Melfort Mustangs were shut out in Yorkton on Saturday.
Terriers’ netminder Callum Creig made 23 saves, as the Mustangs fell 2-0.
“At times we were really good, and at times we kind of got away from it, and that was probably the difference tonight. We didn’t put together a full 60-minute effort, we didn’t get it done when we had those opportunities, and we weren’t urgent enough at the end there, so that’s the result,” explained Melfort assistant coach Clarke Huxley.
“I think we can always find more; we have to generate more. I think we only had 23 shots, and credit to Craig, he played a really good game, and stopped everything we threw at him, but on our side, we got to find a way to get there, and find a way to make it tough on him, and get traffic. Some of the saves, we made it easy for him, and let him see the puck, so we just got to find a way.”
