Trees uprooted and broken at Tisdale Fairgrounds

Oct 23, 2025 | 11:04 AM

An investigation is underway into a senseless case of vandalism at the Tisdale Fairgrounds.

“Several trees were deliberately broken and uprooted, causing significant harm to the area,” a Town of Tisdale social media post read. “These trees took many years to grow and establish, but only moments to destroy.”

Parks crews were forced to clean the mess and remove the damaged trees, a process that took hours to complete.

The town contacted the RCMP to see whether any reports were filed related to the incident, but none were.

“We would like to remind everyone that our parks, facilities, and green spaces belong to all of us,” the post read.

The Town asked residents to help them take care of shared spaces by “treating them with the respect they deserve.”

Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the fairgrounds can report it to the Town Office or call Tisdale RCMP at 310-RCMP.
