Cabin explosion at Barrier Ford sends one to hospital
Saskatchewan RCMP are confirming one person was sent to hospital after a cabin explosion in the hamlet of Barrier Ford.
The incident occurred on November 9, around 12:30 p.m. Rose Valley RCMP, Bjorkdale Fire Department, Archerwill Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene.
Given the small community area, RCMP are not providing any other identifying information for the victim other than they are an adult. No other victims were located.
The cabin was severely damaged as a result of the explosion and there was also damage to a cabin next door. Initial investigation indicates propane may have been a factor in the explosion.
