Yeo sentenced in Melfort Court of King’s Bench

A man facing various charges, including kidnapping and assault, has learned his fate.

Tyrell Yeo has been sentenced after a joint submission Wednesday at Melfort Court of King’s Bench.

Yeo received a sentence of 600 days behind bars.

Considering time served, he will spend another 261 days in custody.

Yeo was sentenced on eight counts, including assault and dangerous driving.

Other charges, including kidnapping and break-and-enter, were stayed.

He was charged in relation to an incident in February in the Melfort RCMP detachment area.

The victim in the case reported non-life-threatening injuries to police.
