Horizon School Division cancels bus routes for Thursday morning

The Horizon School Division is once again taking weather into account for the school day on Thursday.

The division sent students home at noon on Wednesday due to the blustery conditions from the Alberta Clipper.

Now, they have announced that all urban and rural Horizon School Division bus routes will be cancelled for the morning of Thursday, Dec. 18.

“The safety of our families and staff remains our top priority during this extreme weather,” the division stated in a news release.

Schools will remain open division-wide for students who are able to attend.

Horizon said road and weather conditions will be re-evaluated on Thursday, and some bus routes may resume for after school pick-up.

“We thank our students, families, and staff for their understanding,” the division said. “Please stay safe.”
