Residents near Creighton asked to check yards for missing man

Jan 5, 2026 | 2:41 PM

People between Creighton and Flin Flon areas are being asked to check their outbuildings and yards for signs of a missing man.

Moise Sewap, age 66, was last seen in Flin Flon on Dec. 9, 2025 but is a member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.

PBCN has issued a renewed call for people to help find Sewap and said the cold weather and length of time since he was last seen are causing concerns about his well-being.

“Community members and property owners in the Creighton and Flin Flon areas are asked to check sheds, outbuildings an other structures,” said PBCN in a news release. They are working closely with Creighton RCMP in the effort to find Sewap.

Police have received a tip that Sewap may have been seen getting into a silver Ford Escape with a woman outside a large retail store along Highway 10 in Flin Flon. That was between Dec. 15 and Dec. 23 in the early afternoon. Sewap was wearing a blue and black checkered jacket.

In the coming days, Saskatchewan First Nations Emergency Management’s Search and Rescue team will lend their help as well.

Sewap is 5-9 tall, weighs about 220 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP at 310-RCMP (7267) inside Saskatchewan or 1-306-780-5563 from outside of the province.
