RCMP investigate smash and grab at Birch Hills pharmacy

Nov 3, 2026 | 3:05 PM

A messy clean up was required Sunday morning after a brazen robbery at the only pharmacy in Birch Hills.

At approximately 5:50 a.m., the suspects drove an SUV through the front window of the store. Two men entered the business, stole an undisclosed sum of cash and goods, and fled on foot.

RCMP responded, along with local fire services.

The building was badly damaged and no injuries were reported.

Mayor Stewart Adams said it’s unfortunate when people see crime and violence as an employment option.

While confirming the store has been broken into before, Adams said anytime you have an invasion of private property, commercial or residential, it does nothing to build a safe environment for people.
