Humboldt issues alert over high levels at sewage lift station by hospital

The City of Humboldt is alerting residents to issues regarding the sewer in the hospital area. 

“Our sewage lift station reached a high level today which could result in sewer backups,” the City posted on its social media pages on Friday. 

Property owners are urged to ensure that their sump pumps are discharged outside, and not into the sewer. 

Residents are also reminded not to open manhole lids, which the Town said is illegal, dangerous, and can worsen flooding.
