RM of Torch River residents can now apply to PDAP

Residents in the RM of Torch River can now apply for some monetary help after spring flooding in the area. 

The RM’s Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) request for designation has been approved. 

“This means private property owners who experienced extensive damage in relation to the spring flooding may now apply directly to the program for cost recovery assistance for which private insurance does not cover,” Administrator David Yorke said. 

It’s currently unknown as to how many residents in the RM will apply.
