Vandalism concerns

Town of Tisdale frustrated at damage done to facilities

May 22, 2026 | 12:01 PM

Tisdale residents are being asked to respect town facilities after recent incidents.

“The Town of Tisdale would like to bring awareness to several recent concerns involving damage and misuse of community facilities,” the Town said in a news release.

The incidents include ATV tracks on the soccer fields, damage to the parking lot at the Kinsmen Ball Diamonds, a blockage in the Fairgrounds bathrooms caused by items place down the clean-out, and a water line break in the Fairgrounds that was possibly caused by drivers doing donuts or recklessly driving.

“These facilities are here for everyone to enjoy,” the Town said. “Countless hours are invested by volunteers, staff, local organizations, and community members to maintain these spaces for our children, families, teams, and events. It is discouraging to see damage caused by careless or disrespectful behaviour.”

The Town asked that all residents, especially parents, speak with their children or young adults about respecting public property and community pride. They added they have spoken to Tisdale RCMP about making regular patrols throughout town, and anyone found vandalizing or damaging municipal property could face law enforcement action and be held responsible for repair costs.

“This is our town. This is our community. These are our facilities. Please help protect and preserve them for everyone to enjoy now and in the future,” the statement said.
