Mustangs acquire PIJHL forward

The Ripley Ford Melfort Mustangs have made a trade. Melfort has acquired forward Dane Svingen-Jones from the Port Moody Panthers.

In exchange, the Mustangs are sending over a player development fee (PDF) to the Pacific Junior Hockey League (PIJHL) club.

Svingen-Jones has played the past two seasons with the Panthers, totalling 83 points (53 goals and 30 assists) in just 77 games.

The 2007-born Port Coquitlam, BC. native stands at six-foot-one and 181 pounds. The 18-year-old right-shot forward will join the Blue and Green this fall.
