Hutchinson returns to hometown to rejoin former teammates

A former Melfort Mustang is returning home to continue his post-secondary hockey career.

Forward Aidyn Hutchinson has committed to the University of Alberta Golden Bears, following two seasons with the Northern Michigan University Wildcats.

A St. Albert, Alta. native, Hutchinson will join the Golden Bears in the fall, as he reunites with a pair of former Mustang teammates in Ryan Duguay and Ty Thornton.

“This was ultimately a good and new opportunity for me back home, and having those two guys already there is just fantastic. As soon as I told them I was in the transfer portal, they contacted the coach, and they were the first team I talked to. It’ll be great to hang out with them again and win some hockey games,” Hutchinson told northeastNOW.
