Mustangs’ Binner commits to Augustana College

Another Melfort Mustang has chosen the college route for the next step in his hockey career. 

Two-time SJHL champion Kaleb Binner has committed to the Augustana Vikings of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC). 

“Kaleb has been a big part of our group for the past three seasons in Melfort,” said Mustangs Head Coach and General Manager Trevor Blevins. “He competes hard, brings energy to the rink every day and has always been willing to do whatever the team needs from him. To be part of two championship teams is something he should be very proud of, and we’re excited to see him earn the opportunity to continue his hockey career at Augustana.” 

The Calgary-born forward spent three seasons with the Mustangs, racking up 22 goals and 21 assists in 134 games. Binner had one goal in each of the two Melfort appearances in the Centennial Cup.
