Two games under the lights in high school football Friday

The high school football season continues Friday in several local communities. 

The Melfort Comets will host the Nipawin L.P. Miller Bears under the lights in nine-a-side aciton. 

The Comets are 2-0 after a 54-12 victory in La Ronge last week, while Nipawin is 0-2 on the season following a 62-19 loss to Tisdale last week. 

The white-out game will start at 7 p.m. 

The Tornadoes look to continue their perfect start to the 2026 campaign as they host winless La Ronge,

In six-a-side play, Carrot River looks to move to 3-0 as they host Creighton under the lights, with that starting at 7 p.m. 

St. Brieux looks for their first win of the season in Viscount. 

Meanwhile, the Melfort juniors are hosting an eight-team jamboree on Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m.
