Mustangs acquire Alberta defenceman from Calgary

The Melfort Mustangs have added a 19-year-old defenceman to their roster. The newest member of the organization is Roman Maudie.

Maudie comes to Melfort via a trade with the AJHL’s (Alberta Junior Hockey League) Calgary Canucks, in exchange for a PDF (Player Development Fee).

A Calgary native, Maudie spent the first seven games of this season with his hometown Canucks, registering a single assist.

Last year, the 2007-born product split his time between the Drumheller Dragons of the AJHL and the Cranbrook Bucks of the BCHL (British Columbia Hockey League).
